I send out my email newsletter on an increasingly irregular basis. (But with the aim of being roughly monthly.)

It's not just about how great I am. I try to put some general interest stuff in there too, around the subject of copywriting, brands and so forth.

People seem to like it, which is nice. These are some of the unprompted responses I've had so far:
