Often, ideas come along that are unrelated to any actual project. It seems a shame for them simply to vanish, so I thought I'd collect the best of mine here. (If you'd like to use any, do let me know!)

London 2012

London 2012 logo

At least this idea had the chance of a home, however slim. This was my entry into the competition to brand London's Olympic bid. Needless to say, they didn't choose it.

Still, the loss of this dazzling design masterpiece didn't seem to hurt London's bid much. I comfort myself with the thought that it was the work I did on the bid film, with production company New Moon, that made all the difference. Surely it must all have been down to me somehow?

If it makes you feel any better, its a lot better than the one they unveiled... the blocky one. I hate that thing. No one can tell it says 2012 on it, and it looks like some kid drew it. Yours atleast follows their first logo's idea with the ribbon, and i love how you made it form the "o". It might just be because I myself have been overusing the "ribbon" effect but ur logo looks a lot more fresh and modern. (altho I might suggest you rethink the red white and blue, cause I thought of France when I looked at that. >.> Good job anyway!

Thanks Don! I'm in two minds about the new Wolff Olins logo. What's most crap about it is the 'London' type, which looks like an afterthought and will presumably disappear at smaller sizes. And I hate the animated version where it flickers and flashes. Makes your head hurt. But the most basic set of forms are, I think, quite striking and at least don't look like every other Olympic logo ever. Still, I'm glad you prefer mine and thanks for taking the time to write.
