'Poppy' triumphs at the IVCAs
My commercial for the Royal British Legion, Poppy, has been awarded the Business to Consumer Gold at the IVCA Awards. According to the judges, it's "A moving piece, elegantly executed, which underlines the contemporary relevance of Poppy Day." And I couldn't agree more.
The ad was produced by New Moon TV, and directed by Chris Petcher, the most recent recipient of the New Moon New Director awards scheme.
It's just a shame I was riddled with a heavy cold the night of the awards. Naturally I went along, but I'm not sure Eammon Holmes will have enjoyed the somewhat clammy handshake we shared under the spotlight. I do hope he hasn't caught my bug.
