Now We Are Three

As some of you know, my wife and I have been joined in the house by a third, remarkably small person. He hasn't been able to tell us his name, as he apparently lacks even a rudimentary grasp of English, so we've called him Thomas. He's frequently very loud and has the most appalling manners, but for some reason we can't help but feel delighted to have him with us.

Obviously I'm only including this news in a hard-nosed business fashion, to explain my recent relative absence from the office. I wouldn't dream simply of foisting cute pictures of my baby on the world at large.

But he is gorgeous, isn't he?
