The next Olympic event: Mike vs Spielberg

Long-standing readers will remember me moaning on about the fact that my brilliant logo didn't win the competition to brand London's Olympic Bid.

So I was especially delighted when production company New Moon asked me to help refine the script for their film presenting London's case to the International Olympic Committee.

You may well have seen news of New Moon's coup in the papers. Their film, which will form a major part of London's final push to clinch the Games, will be up against Spielberg for New York and Luc Besson for Paris. So no pressure there then.

The voiceovers have now been recorded by an internationally famous British star of stage and screen (can't say who), making a compelling and emotive case for London (can't say more than that). So all we can do is wait...
