If you're interested, this is what I've been up to recently (and not so recently). And if you're really interested, why not sign up for my newsletter? One client described it as ''like a drug – I can't get enough''. She's feeling much better now, though.

Fitting into Howies

Howies t-shirtThe latest catalogue from Howies is now out, and it's got an article in it by me. Which I'm quite pleased about.

In case you don't know, Howies is a small but rapidly growing clothing company for terribly hip people who ride skateboards and snowboards and cycle off on camping expeditions in the Cairngorms.

I don't do any of those things, although I'm sure I should. But I do share Howies' belief that business can do more than simply make money for itself. They have a commitment to the environment, and to ethical behaviour in general, that I warm to as much as I do to their excellent clothes. Click below for a read of my article, and why not buy a T-shirt while you're at it?

"We are a company"

This month has seen a metamorphosis in the Reed household. I have become a limited company: Reed Words Ltd. My accountant tells me it's the right move, and I never argue with accountants.

Beyond the financial benefits, and the fact that I get to play at being a corporate identity designer once again (which I always enjoy), this change of status won't actually have any bearing on the day-to-day. It's still just me, and I promise not to use it as an excuse to put my rates up.
