Punny names pt 1
Since asking for examples of punny people, I've been deluged with as many as two responses. They're both excellent.
Susannah Zeff of New Moon TV gets us off to a flying start. Her sister in law, née Alison Beat, used to work as a Marketing Manager in the music business. Imagine doing that job with the name Miss A. Beat. It seems too good to be true, but we have Susannah's word on it.
Ollie Strachan of Sheppard Moscow writes with a rather cruel tale. Apparently in Hong Kong, if you arrive at kindergarten without an English forename, they assign you one. And it seems some kindergarten teachers are less kindly than others. Because Ollie's Dad once employed a chap forced to toil under the monicker "Hitler Chan".
I've also found one of my own. On a recent project I read an interview with the client's 'Vice-President for Diversity and Inclusion'. This saintly job title was a perfect match for his own name. Dan Lovely.
Have you got any to match these? Then please do send them in.
